Back at home again.
Home? A contradictory feeling is spreading. The feeling is not quite like that coming at homecoming in Germany, after a journey. It is probably just a good feeling to come back into his own home where you have peace and quiet ... although, it is still not here. But we are there for us. We are once again arrived back at our apartment in Izmir.
The friendly professor doctor was met by his wife at the airport. A quiet woman who is also friendly sovereign in their huge cars parked in front of us. The professor wanted to drive us doctor to go home, after several attempts to cut off the supply but then they put us in front of our apartment house.
In the elevator we receive the Turkish Dudelmusik and in the apartment, we can finally drop all things. In the kitchen we killed a few of the critters. Slowly it has become everyday life here, so really you get used to everything. At any time, to which one enters the kitchen, you're ready to strike. One could look at it even as a kind of sport, because the critters are damn fast.
Two beers in the fridge waiting for us. A few olives, tomatoes and feta cheese are also available and so we sit in our glass conservatory, listen to the evening traffic noise of Inonu Cad. and our cool Efes enjoy by candlelight.
Tomorrow begins for me again to work at the school and Erdal is looking forward to another day as a house husband.
The man next to me, but then caught me in a conversation and it turns out that he is not James Bond. The conversation is not one of the most unpleasant or superficial conversations about the weather and stuff.
He is very interested in questions: Where do we come from, what we are planning in Turkey and what we do in Izmir. But even if our expectations are met or whether there are problems and there. To put it correctly: there are no killer issues in Turkey. There are (almost) only killer claims. Always according to the prevailing corporate hierarchy, the employee must suffer accordingly much. When we arrived in October 2008, I have been busy with three things: home, work and seeking work to my project that I had moved to Germany before flying out on land, and complete.
