This year it goes to Malaysia and we have only four weeks to get to know the country and its people, culture, food and eating habits of this Southeast Asian country. The plan is to discover a healthy mix of new and learn to relax and of course must not be neglected. Whether it is an island or a beach on the mainland, we do not know yet.
But the first step has been made: The decision that we go to Malaysia, has fallen. Previously, Korea and China were still in the race, but because of climatic conditions in our travel time, we have chosen Malaysia. Korea and China will be served at another time.
The second step is also done: The flights are booked. We start our tour in Thailand and will travel from there to the south. Within Thailand, we will travel by train. From Bangkok we have before, with 1-2 intermediate stops across the border to enter Malaysia. The journey by train through Thailand, we have already done twice. Once we are to Chumphon and Surat Thani once over to Koh Samui.
Now we have a variety of literature and read us a concern about current conditions, land, people and culture. We are excited to see where we will drive the trip and how different Thailand and Malaysia.
Our last day in Bangkok .... begins with a hangover!
We still make it just before 10 clock for breakfast and then start to Chatuchak weekend market. We take a taxi and also decide on the highway to drive. (45 Baht must be paid at the ramp at the counter.)
Once there, we try to orient first time and this is not so easy. A huge market: 18 hectares, more than 15,000 items, with lots of visitors. read here, a taxi driver as we drive to despair ..
Clock in the morning at 6.20 we arrive in Bangkok. A coffee at the Black Canyon and on to the hotel. The taxi drivers at rail stations are hard and try an over-priced vehicle prices prima facie case. So go out and runs out of the station and keep on the high road: on Rama IV, a taxi.
In the hotel again rested briefly, then go ... one more round in the city and turned off to meet with Ben Thomburi.
Today things packed up pay from the reception. We must keep the bungalow until the evening to 20.44 clock goes back to our overnight train to Bangkok.
With heavy hearts we enjoy our last day here at Chumphon Cabana Resort. The "Superior Bungalows Sea View", we can only recommend.
It's hot, it sparkles everywhere and Christmas music is - it all seems very unreal. 'm Melancholy today.
One last time here on the beach one last time in the super-delicious restaurant "OK MAY" - to run a good deal, straight from the street along the resort out to the left.

We buy the tickets today for our trip to Chumphon. The trip will last 7 hours so we will reserve us a first Class compartment, so you can sometimes lie in between. The compartment for two people costs us the equivalent of about 40 €. The main railway station "Hua Lamphong" We have taken all round, a few photos we've put in, Erdal wants a few more Panoromas add the following days: photos here .
You can also find an interview with a head of station information out. Our movies we make ourselves tomorrow on the train.
Erdal and I step on the way back to Bangkok, Thomas and Evren remain in Ayutthaya. The second Category is not available, well, we again take the 3rd . The train is too crowded, we first get a seat, but even that is an experience, it is constantly jumping motion, because the food vendors have indeed come to squeeze through / /
. After 1-2 stations we catch seats. I still can not see any chickens in cages ... but Thai has fish in a plastic bag and the bag it is not very tight.
We continue through the crowded streets of Bangkok. photos: here!
We check back in the "Four Wings" in, here there was simply nothing to complain about.
Another sleepless night, no one knows why, and broke it right now. Erdal is snoring blissfully, however, the whole night next to me.
After breakfast we pick up in Carrefour, the T-shirts from which we have ordered yesterday: 4 green, imprinted with "thai-team.com" - as a Christmas present
Thomas and Evren, arriving in Bangkok today.
Back at the hotel, the two are already ready for our program today.
We'll call Ben and arrange to meet us at the pier to the Skytrain station Saphan Taksin.
When we arrive there, Ben is already there. A very nice young man who has been living for 16 months in Thailand and Bangkok would like us today, showing off the beaten paths-bumpkin. Take the ferry to cross over to the other side of the "Chao Phraya" and from there continue by taxi to Wat Singha. Here we have a lot of photos ( click here ) and also shot scenes.
An impressive temple with a Chinese influence, far from tourist routes. read this post »
5.20 clock arrival in Bangkok (in Berlin it is now 23.20 clock)
Money exchanged and passed on directly to the output, just as the door opens, invades us, that we had already made this mistake last year. Received after the doors on this floor just tug the unsuspecting, after taxes and want a travelers seeking at inflated prices-what-I-know where to go.
Buses and taxis are one floor below!
So fast returns from done, yet fast as a city-map is collected at the tourist information office and one floor below and out.
A straightforward approach to the fees, but that simply is not here.
There is no driver sitting in it.
We walk along the empty taxis and waving a bunch of us there to switch to a snake standing taxi driver.
On that switch sits a young woman, who we say we want to go. It was listed a few things and numbers on a piece of paper and tells us the fare: 450 Bath to our hotel in the Sukhumvit Road (approx. 9 €).
A taxi driver comes to us gets the note from the woman and led us to the estimate.
We are lucky, our driver is a funny guy who tells us a lot, laughs a lot and spread joyous mood.
Totally uncomprehending he reacts when we tell him what we are doing in Thailand and these are also dat our honeymoon. "Koh Samui! "He's trying to make clear again and again" = Honeymoon in Koh Samui! "He shakes his head just above us and laughs.
We arrive at the hotel and come before us as high a state visit. Opens the doors of a taxi, take off the luggage, another employee opens the hotel door and salutes, and at the reception is the reception team gathered and greeted us cheerfully.
Our room is in the 9th Stock and ... who would have thought that we have green views and even listen to chirping birds. Larger blocks of concrete are just further away .. great view in the middle of Bangkok!
First of sleep!
In the afternoon, then we jump into the fray. It's nice and warm ... cold .. Germany already forgotten the last rays of the sun, we can still enjoy the park Banjasiri. Here we shot our first film:
For now it is just check up area ( see photos you want, then click here ) and get mobile phone cards with GPRS.
Later in the hotel: do not get mobile phone cards, the 7eleven seller did not: "No have! No have! ".. He knows only the normal mobile phone SIM cards ... so we are looking again tomorrow!
